Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Draughtsman / AutoCAD Draughtsman with hands-on experience in mechanical design and drafting. The ideal candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD 2D & 3D, with additional knowledge of SolidWorks considered a strong advantage. This role requires attention to detail, strong technical understanding, and the ability to deliver accurate engineering drawings for manufacturing and project purposes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Create detailed mechanical drawings using AutoCAD 2D and 3D for various engineering projects. 2. Assist in design development and modifications based on project requirements.
3. Interpret engineering specifications, sketches, and concept drawings to produce accurate documentation.
4. Collaborate with design engineers and project teams to finalize layouts and designs.
5. Maintain drawing records and revisions according to company standards.
6. Support the manufacturing team with detailed drawings, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and technical guidance.
7. Conduct quality checks to ensure drawings meet design, safety, and industry standards.
8. Utilize SolidWorks for 3D modeling and visualization (if applicable).

Skills & Competencies

1. Strong AutoCAD 2D and 3D proficiency.
2. Knowledge of SolidWorks (preferred).
3. Understanding of mechanical engineering concepts and industry standards.
4. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
5. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
6. Good communication and teamwork skills.
7. Experience in engineering or manufacturing companies is preferred.

Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering / Mechanical Drafting / Related field.
Proven experience as a Mechanical / AutoCAD Draughtsman in engineering companies.
