Interior Designer

Job Summary

The Interior Designer will be responsible for end-to-end design and execution support for interior projects, including concept development, detailed drawings, site coordination, cost estimation, vendor management, and final site billing. The role requires strong technical skills, site experience, and the ability to coordinate with clients, vendors, and contractors to ensure timely and quality project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Documentation

• Develop design concepts, space planning, and material selection as per client requirements.

• Prepare detailed AutoCAD drawings including layouts, working drawings, elevations, sections, and details.

• Create 3D models and visualizations using SketchUp / other 3D software.

• Coordinate with senior designers for design approvals and revisions.

Site Visits & Execution

• Conduct regular site visits to monitor execution quality, measurements, and progress.

• Ensure design intent is accurately implemented at site.

• Resolve on-site design or execution-related issues promptly.

Quotations & Cost Analysis

• Prepare detailed BOQs and quotations based on approved drawings.

• Perform cost analysis and material specifications to ensure budget control.

• Assist in value engineering without compromising design quality.

Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and other agencies.

• Manage communication between clients, execution teams, and consultants.

• Ensure timely availability of drawings, materials, and clarifications at site.

Billing & Documentation

• Prepare and verify running and final site bills as per work completed.

• Cross-check vendor and contractor bills with site progress and approved BOQs.

• Maintain proper documentation for measurements, variations, and approvals.

Client Interaction

• Attend client meetings for design discussions, site updates, and approvals.

• Address client queries related to design, materials, timelines, and costs professionally.

Skills & Software Proficiency

• Proficient in AutoCAD (mandatory)

• Working knowledge of SketchUp / 3D visualization software

• Basic knowledge of rendering tools (preferred)

• Strong understanding of materials, finishes, and execution methods

• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills

Education

• Degree/Diploma in Interior Design or Architecture
