Senior Interior Designer
Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Interior Designer to lead the design and execution of residential, commercial, hospitality, and workplace interior projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong creative vision, technical expertise, project management capabilities, and the ability to manage client relationships while mentoring junior designers.
Key Responsibilities
Lead interior design projects from concept development through construction and final installation.
Develop innovative design concepts, mood boards, space plans, material palettes, and presentation packages.
Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements, objectives, budgets, and timelines.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, vendors, and consultants throughout the project lifecycle.
Conduct site visits, inspections, and project reviews to ensure design intent and quality standards are maintained.
Review and approve material selections, furniture, fixtures, finishes, and accessories.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring timely delivery and budget compliance.
Present design proposals and project updates to clients and stakeholders.
Mentor and guide junior designers and support team development.
Stay updated on industry trends, building codes, sustainability practices, and emerging design technologies.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
7–10+ years of professional interior design experience.
Strong portfolio demonstrating successful residential, commercial, hospitality, or corporate projects.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3D Max, Adobe Creative Suite, and other design software.
Excellent space planning, design detailing, and visualization skills.
Strong understanding of materials, finishes, furniture systems, lighting, and construction methods.
Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and client management skills.
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Professional certification or registration in Interior Design.
Experience managing large-scale or high-end projects.
Knowledge of sustainable design principles and green building certifications.
