Interior Designer

Job Summary

We are looking for a creative, responsible, and detail-oriented Interior Designer with a minimum of 6 months of experience. The candidate will be responsible for handling interior design projects from understanding client requirements and preparing designs to coordinating with site and installation teams for project execution.

The candidate will work under the supervision of senior team members while taking responsibility for the day-to-day progress and coordination of assigned projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand client requirements, preferences, budget, and project expectations.

• Prepare creative and practical interior design concepts, layouts, and presentations.

• Prepare and modify 2D drawings, floor plans, elevations, and 3D designs as required.

• Visit project sites regularly to understand site conditions, measurements, structure, and execution requirements.

• Coordinate with the site team, contractors, vendors, and installation teams.

• Work closely with the installation/execution team to ensure the design is implemented correctly.

• Monitor the progress of assigned projects and coordinate with relevant teams to resolve site-related issues.

• Check whether materials, furniture, fixtures, colours, finishes, and other design elements are being executed according to the approved design.

• Make necessary design modifications based on site conditions or client requirements.

• Communicate with clients and provide updates regarding project progress when required.

• Take responsibility for the assigned project from the initial design stage through execution, under the supervision and guidance of senior team members.

• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers regarding materials and project requirements.

• Conduct site measurements and prepare drawings based on actual site conditions.

• Ensure projects are completed within the required timelines and according to quality standards.

• Maintain proper documentation of drawings, designs, measurements, and project-related information.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of experience in interior designing or a related field.

• Good knowledge of interior design concepts, space planning, materials, and execution.

• Knowledge of software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, V-Ray, Lumion, Photoshop, or similar design tools.

• Ability to prepare and understand 2D drawings and 3D designs.

• Good understanding of furniture, lighting, colours, textures, finishes, and interior materials.

• Good verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong coordination and interpersonal skills.

• Good creativity and attention to detail.

• Ability to understand client requirements and convert them into practical design solutions.

• Ability to coordinate effectively with site and installation teams.

• Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.

• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
