Job Title: Interior Designer Job Overview
The Interior Designer is responsible for planning, designing, and executing functional and
aesthetically appealing interior spaces. The role involves understanding client
requirements, creating design concepts, and coordinating with vendors and execution teams to
deliver projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
• Meet clients to understand their needs, preferences, budget, and project goals.
• Develop creative design concepts, layouts, and mood boards.
• Prepare 2D drawings, 3D designs, and presentations.
• Select materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and color schemes.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers.
• Visit sites to supervise work and ensure design execution matches plans.
• Manage project timelines and budgets.
• Stay updated with latest design trends, materials, and technologies.
• Make revisions based on client feedback.
Required Skills
• Strong creative and visualization skills.
• Proficiency in design software like AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, or similar.
• Good understanding of materials, furniture, and space planning.
• Strong communication and client-handling skills.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Basic project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
• 1–5 years of relevant experience (freshers can be considered for junior roles).
• Experience in residential, commercial, or exhibition design is a plus.
