Position Summary:
The Interior Designer is responsible for planning, designing, and executing interior spaces that are functional, aesthetically appealing, and aligned with client requirements. The role involves concept creation, material selection, detailed drawings, client presentations, and coordination with vendors, site teams, and contractors to ensure smooth project completion.
Meet clients to understand their requirements, lifestyle, design preferences, and budget.
Develop concept boards, mood boards, space planning, and design layouts.
Create 2D drawings, 3D renders, and walkthroughs using design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Revit, etc.).
Present design proposals and refine them based on feedback.
Select materials, finishes, furnishings, lighting, and décor elements suitable for the project.
Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities), material boards, and design specifications.
Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers for sourcing.
Collaborate with project managers, site engineers, carpenters, electricians, and contractors to ensure accurate execution.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure work aligns with the design intent.
Resolve design issues and provide technical guidance to the execution team.
Maintain strong client communication and provide updates throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure client satisfaction from design stage to project handover.
Handle design revisions professionally and within timelines.
Prepare working drawings, detailed joinery designs, electrical layouts, and false ceiling plans.
Ensure adherence to quality standards, timelines, and budget.
Maintain project documentation, design files, and reports.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, V-Ray, Lumion, 3ds Max, Photoshop).
Strong sense of aesthetics, creativity, and attention to detail.
Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication, presentation, and client-handling skills.
Knowledge of materials, modern design trends, and market pricing.
