Key Responsibilities
1. Design & Concept Development
• Develop creative design concepts as per project requirements and client brief.
• Prepare space planning, layout options, and mood boards.
• Create 2D and 3D design presentations for client review.
• Ensure designs meet functional, aesthetic, and budgetary needs.
2. Technical Drawings & Documentation
• Prepare detailed drawings including GFC (Good for Construction), MEP coordination, BOQ, and material specifications.
• Review and approve shop drawings submitted by vendors and subcontractors.
• Ensure all designs comply with building codes, safety norms, and regulatory requirements.
3. Client Interaction
• Conduct client meetings, presentations, and design brief collection.
• Understand client expectations and translate them into actionable design solutions.
• Address design-related queries promptly.
4. Site Coordination & Execution Support
• Visit project sites to ensure design intent is maintained during execution.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors.
• Resolve design issues and provide technical clarifications when required.
5. Material Selection & Vendor Coordination
• Source materials, finishes, and furnishings as per approved concepts.
• Coordinate with vendors for samples, approvals, and product details.
6. Team Leadership (if applicable)
• Guide and mentor junior designers.
• Review and approve design work of the team.
• Ensure timely delivery of design packages.
Required Skills & Competencies
• Excellent knowledge of design principles, space planning, and fit-out standards.
• Strong expertise in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit (optional), Photoshop, and MS Office.
• Good understanding of MEP coordination in interior design.
• Strong visualization, attention to detail, and aesthetic sense.
• Good communication and client-handling skills.
