Interior Designer

About the Role

Design House India Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a talented and execution-focused Interior Designer with experience in showroom, retail, office, and commercial interior projects. The ideal candidate should be capable of handling projects from concept design to site execution while ensuring functionality, aesthetics, brand alignment, and timely delivery.

Reporting To: Design Head / Project Head
Location: NCR & Outstation (Frequent Site Visits)
Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Skills Required

• Proficiency in AutoCAD for layout planning and detailed working drawings

• Strong knowledge of SketchUp, 3Ds Max, V-Ray, or Enscape

• Experience in showroom, retail, office, and commercial interior design

• Space planning, zoning, circulation, and customer experience design

• Working knowledge of joinery detailing, furniture design, and fit-out drawings

• Understanding of retail fixtures, display systems, branding elements, and lighting design

• Knowledge of materials, finishes, ACP, glass, metal, woodwork, and modular furniture

• BOQ understanding and coordination with execution teams

• Site measurement, site supervision, and problem-solving skills

• Strong client communication and presentation abilities

Roles & Responsibilities

Design & Planning

• Develop creative concepts for showrooms, offices, and commercial spaces.

• Prepare space planning, zoning, and circulation layouts.

• Design customer-friendly and brand-oriented retail environments.

• Create detailed working drawings and construction drawings.

2D & 3D Development

• Prepare layout plans, furniture layouts, ceiling plans, flooring plans, and elevation drawings.

• Create high-quality 3D views, renders, and walkthrough presentations.

• Present design concepts and material proposals to clients.

Material & Technical Coordination

• Finalize materials, finishes, fixtures, furniture, and lighting specifications.

• Coordinate BOQs with project and procurement teams.

• Ensure designs remain practical, cost-effective, and execution-friendly.

Site Execution & Coordination

• Conduct site measurements and surveys.

• Visit project sites regularly across NCR and other locations.

• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, fabricators, and project managers.

• Resolve site execution challenges and drawing discrepancies.

• Ensure execution is completed as per approved drawings and quality standards.

Client Management

• Understand client requirements, brand guidelines, budgets, and timelines.

• Handle design revisions and client approvals.

• Maintain professional communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualification

• Diploma / Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or Related Field

Immediate Joiners Preferred

Candidates must share their portfolio along with their application.

• It is a Full Time Architect / Interior Designer job for candidates with 2 - 5 years of experience.
