Key responsibilities
Design and development: Create new furniture ideas and improve existing products, balancing functionality, aesthetics, and client needs.
Research: Stay informed about the latest design trends, materials, and manufacturing techniques.
Technical drafting: Produce detailed 2D and 3D drawings, models, and prototypes using software like AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
Material selection: Choose suitable materials, such as wood, metal, or plastic, for each project.
Client and stakeholder collaboration: Work with clients to understand their needs and with manufacturers to ensure the designs can be produced effectively.
Production oversight: Liaise with production teams to guide the manufacturing process and ensure quality control.
Problem-solving: Address issues related to cost, safety, and production feasibility.
