Prepare fabrication drawings, GA drawings, and detailed component drawings using AutoCAD or other drafting software.
Develop BOM (Bill of Materials), cutting lists, welding details, and material specifications.
Ensure all drawings comply with engineering standards, project requirements, and client specifications.
Revise and update drawings based on design changes or site conditions.
Coordinate with Project Engineers, Fabrication Shop, and Site Teams for clarity on drawings.
Assist in layout planning, fabrication sequencing, and material optimization.
Maintain proper documentation of drawings, revisions, and issue records.
Support quality checks by ensuring accuracy and dimensional correctness in drawings.
Communicate with vendors or fabricators for drawing clarifications if needed.
Skills & Competencies
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD,Solidworks,Creo (2D mandatory, 3D added advantage)
Good understanding of fabrication, welding symbols, structural components, and mechanical drafting
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and standards
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work under deadlines and handle multiple tasks
Education
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / ITI Draughtsman Mechanical or equivalent.
Requirements
Experience in structural steel fabrication, piping, sheet metal, or machinery fabrication
Knowledge of industry codes and standards
Exposure to fabrication shop or site experience
