Architectural Draughtsman / Architectural Technician
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed architectural drawings including plans, elevations, sections, and details
Translate architects’ concepts, sketches, and specifications into technical drawings
Revise drawings based on design changes, client feedback, and authority requirements
Ensure drawings comply with local building codes, regulations, and standards
Technical Skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential)
Knowledge of Revit, ArchiCAD, or BIM software (preferred)
Understanding of construction methods, materials, and detailing
Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
Soft Skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good communication and teamwork skills
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks
Problem-solving and adaptability
Experience
2–5 years of experience in architectural drafting (may vary by seniority level)
Work Environment
Office-based with occasional site visits
