Draftsman Architect

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Architectural Draftsman to prepare detailed architectural and interior design drawings using AutoCAD and SketchUp. The ideal candidate should have strong technical drafting skills, a good understanding of interior design concepts, and proficiency in MS Excel for project documentation and data management.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare architectural and interior design drawings, layouts, floor plans, elevations, sections, and detailed working drawings.

Develop accurate CAD drawings based on design concepts and project requirements.

Create 3D models and visualizations using SketchUp.

Coordinate with architects, interior designers, consultants, and project teams.

Modify and update drawings based on client feedback and project revisions.

Prepare BOQs, material schedules, and project documentation using MS Excel.

Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, standards, and applicable regulations.

Maintain organized project files and drawing records.

Conduct site measurements and incorporate changes into drawings when required.

Required Skills

Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D drafting and detailing).

Working knowledge of SketchUp for 3D modeling and visualization.

Understanding of Interior Design concepts, space planning, and detailing.

Proficiency in MS Excel for schedules, BOQs, and reporting.

Ability to read and interpret architectural and interior drawings.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Good communication and coordination skills.

Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

2–5 years of relevant experience in architectural/interior drafting.

Experience in residential, commercial, or interior fit-out projects preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of material specifications and construction detailing.

Familiarity with site execution drawings and coordination.

Experience with project documentation and quantity estimation.
