Job Description

Machine Setup & Operation: Interpreting blueprints and technical drawings to set up tools and load programs into CNC machines (milling, turning, drilling).
Production Monitoring: Monitoring machines during operation for errors or improper functioning.
Quality Control: Measuring finished parts using precision tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to ensure they meet specifications.
Maintenance & Safety: Performing routine cleaning, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance on machines. Adhering to all safety protocols.
Documentation: Recording machine actions, production, and quality data in logs. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8]

Key Requirements & Skills

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training is a plus.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading technical blueprints and understanding geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
Experience: Previous experience in manufacturing or operating machinery (often 1-2+ years).
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift materials.
Tools: Knowledge of machine shop tools, such as lathes and vertical mills. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
