Key Responsibilities
Safety Management: Inspect sites regularly, identify hazards, and enforce health and safety regulations, including personal protective equipment use.
Team Supervision: Direct daily tasks for construction crews and subcontractors, monitor productivity, and track employee attendance.
Logistics & Materials: Order building supplies, manage deliveries, and maintain inventory.
Quality Control: Review blueprints and building plans to ensure work aligns with design and safety specifications.
Communication: Attend site meetings and report project progress to the Project Manager. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Required Skills and Qualifications
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of building codes, safety legislation, and blueprint reading.
Certifications: CPR and first aid certifications.
Leadership: Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
Education: Post-secondary construction training program or a degree in construction management or civil engineering (often preferred)
