Civil Engineer

We are looking for an experienced and technically competent Civil Engineer with approximately 5 years of experience in civil construction, infrastructure development, project execution and maintenance activities. The candidate will be responsible for supervising civil works across factory premises, ensuring timely project completion, maintaining construction quality and coordinating with contractors, vendors and internal departments.

The ideal candidate should have practical experience in industrial or manufacturing facilities, along with strong knowledge of construction techniques, estimation, site supervision and maintenance of buildings and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

1. Civil Construction & Project Execution

   • Supervise and monitor civil construction, renovation and infrastructure development projects.

   • Ensure execution of civil works as per approved drawings, specifications and project schedules.

   • Monitor construction activities, including foundation work, flooring, roofing, plastering, masonry and structural repairs.

   • Ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining quality standards.

2. Factory Infrastructure & Maintenance

   • Oversee the maintenance and repair of factory buildings, office premises, boundary walls, roads, drainage systems and other infrastructure.

   • Identify structural damages, cracks, seepage and other civil maintenance requirements.

   • Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities.

   • Ensure proper upkeep of factory infrastructure and surrounding premises.

3. Estimation, Billing & Documentation

   • Prepare quantity estimates, BOQs (Bill of Quantities), cost estimates and material requirements.

   • Verify contractor bills, measurement books and work completion reports.

   • Monitor project expenditure and ensure cost-effective utilisation of resources.

   • Maintain records of drawings, work orders, measurements and project documentation.

4. Contractor & Vendor Management

   • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, architects, consultants and suppliers.

   • Supervise daily labour deployment and contractor activities at project sites.

   • Ensure proper utilisation of construction materials and manpower.

   • Monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to agreed timelines and quality standards.

5. Quality, Safety & Compliance

   • Ensure that all civil works comply with engineering standards and approved specifications.

   • Monitor site safety practices and ensure compliance with applicable safety requirements.

   • Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks.

   • Coordinate with internal departments for smooth execution of civil and maintenance activities.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of civil construction and industrial infrastructure maintenance.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel.

• Knowledge of estimation, costing, BOQ preparation and contractor billing.

• Ability to read and interpret civil engineering drawings.

• Strong site supervision and project management skills.

• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Eligibility Criteria

• B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in civil engineering.

• Candidates with prior experience in textile, manufacturing or industrial facilities will be preferred.

• Practical experience in factory civil maintenance and construction project execution will be an added advantage.

  Preferred Candidate Profile

  The candidate should be proactive, responsible and capable of independently handling civil maintenance and construction activities. Preference will be given to candidates who have hands-on experience in managing industrial infrastructure, supervising contractors and executing civil projects in manufacturing environments.
