Position Overview:
A Civil Site Engineer specializing in interior works for an already constructed site is responsible for overseeing and executing interior construction activities. This includes managing stock, ensuring quality, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring safety and timely completion of works.
Primary Responsibilities- Interior Works Supervision: Manage and supervise interior construction activities like partitioning, flooring, false ceilings, electrical and plumbing installations within the existing structure.
- Stock Check and Management: Conduct regular checks on material stocks, ensure adequate inventory for interior works, and coordinate with procurement teams.
- Quality Check: Ensure interior works and materials meet specified quality standards.
- Product Delivery Coordination: Coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery of products/materials required for interior works.
- Safety Assurance: Ensure safety protocols are followed during interior construction activities.
- Progress Monitoring: Monitor progress of interior works against project timelines and budgets.
- Technical Support: Provide technical guidance on interior construction aspects.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant building codes for interior modifications.
Key Duties:
1. Interior Layout Implementation: Implement interior layouts as per approved designs and drawings.
2. Material Stock Verification: Regularly check and verify stock of materials for interior works.
3. Quality Control Checks: Conduct quality checks on materials and workmanship of interior elements.
4. Delivery Coordination: Coordinate with suppliers for delivery of interior products like flooring, fixtures, fittings.
5. Issue Resolution: Address and resolve issues related to interior construction works, deliveries, or quality.
6. Safety and Quality Checks: Conduct checks to ensure safety and quality of interior works.
7. Coordination with Services: Coordinate interior works with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other services.
8. Progress Reporting: Report progress of interior works to project managers or clients.
Skills and Qualifications- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in any construction or civil engineering works, preferably in existing building contexts.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of interior construction techniques, building codes.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage stocks, coordinate deliveries, and track progress.
- Communication Skills: Good communication and coordination skills for working with various teams.
Working Conditions- Work is typically on-site in an existing constructed building with interior modification works.
