The Civil Site Engineer will be responsible for executing and supervising soil investigation works, conducting Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), and monitoring pile load testing at project sites. The role involves coordinating with clients, contractors, and the laboratory team to ensure accurate testing, documentation, and adherence to industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and execute soil investigation activities including borehole drilling, sampling, and in-situ testing (SPT, DCPT, PLT, etc.).
Plan and conduct Non-Destructive Tests (NDT) such as Rebound Hammer, Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity (UPV), Pile Integrity Test (PIT), etc.
Coordinate and monitor pile load tests (initial, routine, cyclic, and lateral load tests) as per project requirements and standards.
Ensure collection, labeling, and safe transportation of soil/rock samples to the laboratory.
Liaise with laboratory teams for timely testing and ensure accuracy of results.
Prepare and maintain field records, test logs, and site reports.
Ensure compliance with IS codes, ASTM, and other relevant standards in all testing works.
Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and quality control procedures at the site.
Communicate with clients, consultants, and contractors regarding site progress and technical issues.
Assist in preparing geotechnical reports and test documentation.
