AutoCAD Designer

About the Role

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented CAD Designer to join our Jewellery Design team. The ideal candidate will transform innovative jewellery concepts into precise 3D CAD models for manufacturing, ensuring exceptional aesthetics, functionality, and production feasibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Create high-quality 3D CAD models for gold, diamond, platinum, and gemstone jewellery.

• Convert sketches, concepts, and customer requirements into production-ready CAD designs.

• Develop rings, necklaces, earrings, bangles, bracelets, pendants, and customised jewellery collections.

• Ensure designs meet manufacturing, stone-setting, casting, and finishing requirements.

• Optimise CAD models for production efficiency while maintaining design integrity.

• Prepare STL files and technical specifications for rapid prototyping and manufacturing.

• Collaborate closely with Designers, Product Development, Merchandising, and Production teams.

• Modify and improve existing designs based on technical feedback and market trends.

• Maintain design databases, model libraries, and project documentation.

• Stay updated with emerging jewellery trends, design innovations, and CAD technologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in jewellery CAD software such as:

  • Rhino

  • MatrixGold

  • RhinoGold

  • JewelCAD

  • ZBrush (preferred)

• Strong knowledge of jewellery manufacturing processes including:

  • Casting

  • Stone Setting

  • Wax Printing

  • Polishing & Finishing

• Understanding of jewellery proportions, ergonomics, and structural integrity.

• Ability to create realistic renderings and presentation models.

Professional Skills

• Strong creativity and aesthetic sense.

• Excellent attention to detail and precision.

• Problem-solving and analytical thinking.

• Ability to work within deadlines and manage multiple design projects.

• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Education & Experience

• Diploma/Degree in Jewellery Design, Product Design, Fine Arts, or related field.

• 2–6 years of experience in Jewellery CAD Designing.

• Experience in diamond and gold jewellery designing will be preferred.
