AutoCAD Designer

Job Overview :

We are looking for a detail-oriented AutoCAD Designer / Draftsman with experience in

preparing 2D/3D drawings for Water Treatment Plants (WTP), Sewage Treatment Plants

(STP), Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP), and related utility systems. The candidate will

work closely with process engineers and project managers to deliver accurate

engineering drawings, GA diagrams, P&IDs, layouts, and fabrication drawings.

Key Responsibilities :

• Prepare 2D AutoCAD drawings including GA drawings, P&IDs, equipment layouts, tank

drawings, piping layouts, and isometrics.

• Develop 3D models for plant layouts and equipment visualization (if required).

• Incorporate process engineer inputs to develop accurate treatment plant designs.

• Prepare fabrication drawings for tanks, skids, piping, supports, and equipment.

• Ensure drawings comply with industry standards, project specifications, and safety

norms.

• Maintain drawing revisions, version control, and documentation.

• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and site teams for design clarification.

• Support tender drawings, as-built documentation, and client submission packages.

• Conduct basic quantity take-off (BOQ) from drawings when needed.

Required Skills & Competencies :

• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D (mandatory).

• Knowledge of AutoCAD 3D / SolidWorks / Revit is an added advantage.

• Understanding of water & wastewater treatment process layouts.

• Ability to interpret technical documents, equipment specs, and P&IDs.

• Knowledge of piping, civil structures, and mechanical systems.

• Good communication and coordination skills.

• High attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications :

• Diploma / ITI in Mechanical, Civil, or related engineering field.

• Bachelor’s degree (BE/BTech) preferred but not mandatory.

• Minimum 3 years of drafting experience in WTP/STP/ETP projects (preferred).
