Job Title: AutoCAD Designer – Modular Furniture (Corporate Projects)

Location: Ahmedabad

Reporting To: Production Manager / Managing Partner

Company: Pratham Modular (Corporate Office Modular Furniture – B2B Manufacturing)

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced AutoCAD Designer (3+ years) from a modular furniture or interior fit-out background who can convert client BOQs, layouts, and technical inputs into precise, production-ready shop drawings.

This role is critical in bridging client design intent and factory execution, ensuring technical accuracy, approval compliance, and manufacturability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Client & Project Coordination

• Work closely with client design teams, architects, and project managers.

• Study BOQs, layouts, specifications, and material selections.

• Identify technical gaps or inconsistencies before final drawing release.

• Ensure alignment between client requirements and factory capabilities.

2. Shop Drawing Development

• Prepare detailed production-ready shop drawings for each project item.

• Develop multiple detailed views for each item including:

  • Top view

  • Side view

  • Front view

  • Sectional views (where required)

  • Hardware and joinery detailing

• Clearly specify dimensions, material thickness, finishes, edge bands, and hardware.

• Ensure drawings are manufacturing-feasible and dimensionally accurate.

• Maintain structured file naming and revision control.

3. BOQ & Technical Validation

• Cross-verify BOQ quantities with prepared drawings.

• Highlight discrepancies, missing details, or technical conflicts.

• Coordinate with Production Manager for manufacturability validation.

• Support cost and material optimization through design refinement.

4. Drawing Approval & Version Control

• Submit drawings to clients for approval.

• Incorporate revisions and maintain proper version tracking.

• Ensure only client-approved drawings are released for production.

5. Factory & Execution Support

• Provide cutting references and technical clarifications to production team.

• Support site installation team for drawing-related clarifications if required.

• Reduce rework by ensuring first-time-right drawings.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 3+ years experience in modular furniture or interior drafting.

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (2D mandatory; 3D preferred).

• Strong understanding of panel-based modular construction.

• Ability to interpret architectural layouts and BOQs.

• Experience working on corporate office projects preferred.
