MEBA India Private Limited is engaged in the design and supply of high-quality industrial bandsaw and automated cutting solutions for metal processing applications. The Design & Development Engineer – Mechatronics will be responsible for developing, improving, and supporting machine systems by integrating mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation technologies.
The role requires strong coordination between design, production, electrical/automation, service, and suppliers to ensure reliable and cost-effective machine development.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop mechanical and mechatronic systems for industrial cutting/bandsaw machines.
Prepare and modify 3D models, 2D manufacturing drawings, assemblies, and BOMs.
Work on machine mechanisms, fixtures, guards, material handling systems, and automation solutions.
Integrate mechanical systems with electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control systems.
Select appropriate motors, gearboxes, sensors, actuators, bearings, linear motion components, valves, and other machine components.
Coordinate with electrical/automation engineers for sensors, actuators, PLC interfaces, and machine sequencing.
Develop and improve semi-automatic and automatic machine functions.
Carry out design calculations for components, mechanisms, loads, tolerances, and power requirements.
Prepare engineering documentation including BOMs, drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
Conduct prototype development, testing, troubleshooting, and design validation.
Identify design-related problems during assembly, commissioning, and machine operation and implement corrective actions.
Support production and assembly teams in resolving technical issues.
Coordinate with vendors for component development, fabrication, machining, and technical specifications.
Work on design optimization, cost reduction, standardization, and continuous improvement.
Ensure designs comply with applicable safety, quality, and engineering requirements.
Support installation, commissioning, and technical troubleshooting whenever required.
Maintain engineering change records and update drawings/BOMs after design modifications.
Working knowledge of MS Office and engineering documentation.
