Job Description

Draughtsman – Product / Furniture / Fabrication

Experience: 3–6 Years
Location: [Insert Location]
Industry: Furniture / Lighting / Interior / Bespoke Fabrication

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare 2D technical drawings using AutoCAD.
Develop GA drawings, sectional drawings, and exploded views.
Create workshop drawings for metal fabrication and wood joinery.
Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) with material specifications.
Coordinate with production and installation teams.
Ensure accurate dimensioning and tolerance detailing.
Maintain drawing revision control and documentation.

Required Skills:

AutoCAD (Advanced) – Mandatory
SketchUp – Mandatory
Knowledge of fabrication processes
Understanding of hardware & fasteners
Ability to prepare assembly drawings
Good knowledge of material thickness & finishes

Preferred:

SolidWorks / Fusion 360
Experience in bespoke product development
