An AutoCAD Designer creates precise 2D and 3D technical drawings, layouts, and models from sketches or specifications to support engineering, construction, or manufacturing projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design Development: Create detailed 2D/3D models and blueprints for projects using AutoCAD.
• Collaboration: Work with engineers, architects, and project managers to interpret specifications.
• Revisions: Update existing drawings based on client feedback, site measurements, or project changes.
• Compliance: Ensure all drawings adhere to industry regulations, safety standards, and company drafting protocols.
• Documentation: Maintain, organize, and archive project drawing files and documentation.
• Site Support: Occasionally visit job sites to verify measurements and gather data.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
• Education: Certificate, Diploma, or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Technical Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of AutoCAD software.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with 2D/3D design, blue-print reading, and relevant industry codes.
• Soft Skills: High attention to detail, strong visualization abilities, and effective communication skills.
• Experience: Proven experience (often 0–5+ years) in a similar design or drafting role.
Preferred Skills:
• Knowledge of related software (e.g., Revit, SolidWorks, Civil 3D).
• Experience with specific industry tools (e.g., Plant 3D, P&ID)
