Roles and responsibilities of design team

Roles definition: The design and development team is responsible for delivering the new products and also improve the existing products and also its variants and also up skills themselves and develop all the coworkers by co creating.

Responsibilities and deliverable

• Design and development of new products on timely delivery

• Design and Manufacturing process to control using 6sigma DMAIC implementation

• Product development activity like laser cutting, punching and bending and other manufacturing process

• Documentation of design and manufacturing process

• Cross functional department communication manufacturing and purchasing

Tasks and activities

• Design and development of new products

• Conceptualizing, Designing and developing a special purpose machine, mineral processing machine, tool and die making

• Evaluating for feasibility studies technical,manufacturing,costing,financing

• Designing concept, part modelling,detail manufacturing drawing ,assembly drawing, installation and commissioning drawing,

• AutoCAD drawing for SPM laser cutting and punching drawings for contrive

• Bill of material and procurement material planning and release to manufacturing

• List the material procured from different vendor

• Electrical design and wiring drawing

• Hydraulic system design and hydraulic drawing

• Heater drawings

• Drawing for procurement

• Design and Manufacturing process control using 6sigma DMAIC implementation

• Define the designing and manufacturing process for each component of a product

• Measure the tasks and activities of designing and manufacturing process by measuring parameter like quality,quantity,time,

• Analyze the design and manufacturing process to the probable failure of the products and designing process.

• Improve the designing and manufacturing process of each component of a products.

• Controlling method needs to be implemented after improve

• Product development activity like laser cutting, punching and bending and other manufacturing process

• Need to be co-ordinate with the manufacturing department.

• Need to be co-ordinate with the VMC operator to machining the component as described and VMC programming.

• Need to be co-ordinate with the SPM laser cutting and also contrive for laser cutting, punching, bending process.

• Project planning and control of the product design and also follow up with the vendor

• Defining the manufacturing process ,measure, analysis, improve and control the designing and manufacturing process, documentation of 6sigm principles for the designing manufacturing process

• Project planning and control

• Provide support during the manufacturing process to ensure designs are correctly implemented.

• Create project schedules and ensure timely delivery of design milestones

• Documentation and file management of project with proper file naming system

• Engage in professional development to enhance technical expertise and industry knowledge. Quality Checks: Ensure that designs meet the required quality standards and specifications.

• Documentation Compliance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of design changes and approvals.

• Daily review

• Design Accuracy: Number of errors identified in models or drawings.

• Design Quality: Percentage of designs passing testing and validation on the first attempt.

• Compliance: Adherence to industry and company standards.

• Project Milestones: Percentage of design deliverables completed on schedule.

• Design Turnaround Time: Time taken from concept to production readiness.
