ABOUT SQBL DESIGN

SQBL Design is a versatile design studio working across multiple facets of design, from modular construction to high-end boutique interiors. Modular design principles sit at the core of everything we do.

ROLE SUMMARY

We are looking for an Architect with 3–4 years of experience to join our studio. This is a client-facing role that sits at the intersection of design and construction: translating design intent into buildable, well-detailed drawings within a modular framework, and presenting ideas clearly to clients.

AREAS OF EXPERTISE

• Knowledge of boutique architecture and interior design

• Strong understanding of how design translates into construction

• Understanding of modular construction and modular drawings

• Up-to-date knowledge of materials and finishes in the industry

• Awareness of international brands and industry leaders in architecture and interiors

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

• Fluent, confident communicator, as the role is client-facing

• Strong presentation skills

• Keen problem solver, adaptable to varied projects

• Enthusiastic, self-driven learner who thrives in a versatile studio

SOFTWARE SKILLS

• AutoCAD

• SketchUp 3D

• Enscape or equivalent visualisation tools

• AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT

CONTRACT TERMS

Minimum 1-year contract, following a 3-month probation period to evaluate compatibility.
