As a BIM (Building Information Modeling) Architect, you will play a vital role in
the design, planning, and coordination of building projects using advanced BIM
software and methodologies. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and
construction professionals to create accurate and efficient digital models of
building projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Building Information Modeling:
• Utilize BIM software (such as Autodesk Revit, ArchiCAD, or Bentley
MicroStation) to create 3D models, parametric families, and
construction drawings.
• Develop and maintain BIM standards, templates, and libraries for
project teams.
• Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of BIM data
throughout the project lifecycle.
2. Collaboration and Coordination:
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to
integrate their design and engineering disciplines into the BIM
model.
• Coordinate clash detection and clash resolution among various
building systems (e.g., structural, mechanical, electrical) using BIM
software.
• Conduct regular coordination meetings to resolve design conflicts
and ensure interdisciplinary coordination.
3. Project Documentation and Visualization:
• Prepare construction documents, including plans, sections,
elevations, and details, using BIM software.
• Generate 4D (time-based) and 5D (cost-based) simulations to
visualize the construction sequence and estimate project costs.
• Create high-quality renderings and virtual reality (VR) experiences to
communicate design intent to clients and stakeholders.
4. Quality Control and Model Management:
• Perform regular quality checks on BIM models to ensure compliance
with project standards and specifications.
• Manage and maintain the BIM model database, including version
control and data exchange between project stakeholders.
• Implement and enforce BIM project protocols and best practices to
enhance efficiency and productivity.
5. Training and Support:
• Provide training and support to project team members on BIM software,
workflows, and standards.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in BIM technology
and recommend improvements to enhance project delivery.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a BIM Architect or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in BIM software, such as Autodesk Revit, ArchiCAD, or Bentley
MicroStation.
• Strong knowledge of building design, construction methods, and codes.
• Excellent problem-solving and coordination skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Familiarity with interoperability standards and protocols (IFC, COBie, etc.).
• Knowledge of 4D and 5D simulations and visualization tools is a plus.
• Professional certifications in BIM (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional) are
advantageous.
