Job Overview
The Architect is responsible for the planning, design, and execution of residential, corporate, and institutional projects. This role involves translating client requirements into functional, aesthetic, and sustainable design solutions while ensuring compliance with building codes, regulations, budgets, and timelines. The Architect collaborates closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams from concept through construction.
Key Responsibilities
Develop architectural concepts, schematic designs, design development, and construction documents
Design and plan residential buildings, corporate offices, commercial spaces, and institutional facilities (such as schools, hospitals, or public buildings)
Meet with clients to determine project requirements, goals, budgets, and timelines
Prepare drawings, specifications, presentations, and reports using CAD/BIM and other design tools
Coordinate with structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing consultants
Ensure designs comply with zoning laws, building codes, safety regulations, and sustainability standards
Review contractor submittals, shop drawings, and material samples
Participate in project management, including scheduling, budgeting, and cost control
Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and resolve design or technical issues
Support permit approvals and liaise with authorities and regulatory agencies
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
Professional licensure or eligibility for licensure (as required by jurisdiction)
Proven experience in residential, corporate, and/or institutional projects
Proficiency in architectural software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, etc.)
Strong design, visualization, and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and detailing
Excellent communication, presentation, and coordination abilities
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Work Environment
Office-based with regular site visits
Collaborative work with multidisciplinary teams
May require extended hours during critical project phases
