Architect

An architect designs and oversees the construction of buildings, creating functional, safe, and aesthetically pleasing structures by collaborating with clients, engineers, and contractors, while ensuring compliance with codes, managing budgets, and producing detailed plans using CAD/BIM software from concept to completion. Their role involves client consultation, site analysis, developing designs, preparing construction documents, managing project timelines, and conducting site visits to monitor progress and resolve issues.  

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Development: Create conceptual designs, floor plans, and detailed blueprints using software like AutoCAD and Revit. 

• Client & Stakeholder Management: Meet with clients to understand needs, present proposals, and manage expectations. 

• Project Management: Manage budgets, timelines, and resources from start to finish. 

• Coordination: Liaise with engineers, contractors, and other professionals for seamless integration of structural, mechanical, and electrical systems. 

• Compliance: Ensure designs meet local building codes, safety standards, and regulations. 

• Site Supervision: Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and quality. 

• Documentation: Prepare specifications, permits, and construction documents. 

Essential Skills

• Technical: Proficiency in CAD/BIM software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp), 3D rendering, Photoshop. 

• Creative: Strong visualization, conceptualization, and design skills. 

• Analytical: Problem-solving, mathematical, and research abilities. 

• Communication: Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills for client and team interaction. 

• Project Management: Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple projects. 

Work Environment

• Primarily office-based for design and meetings, with frequent site visits to construction locations. 

• Collaborates with various construction professionals and often works under tight deadlines.
