Hiring: Interior Designer – Modular Furniture & Production Drawings

Job Description

VASTRONYX Interiors is looking for a skilled and creative Interior Designer who has practical knowledge of modular furniture design and manufacturing.

The candidate will be responsible for preparing customer interior designs and converting approved designs into detailed production drawings, BOQs and cutting lists for factory manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare 2D layouts and 3D interior designs for kitchens, wardrobes, bedrooms, TV units and complete home interiors.

2. Prepare 3D renders and presentations for customer approval.

3. Take site measurements and prepare furniture layouts.

4. Prepare detailed working drawings, elevations and sections.

5. Prepare accurate panel-wise cutting lists with length, width, thickness and quantity.

6. Prepare BOQ, material requirements and hardware lists.

7. Calculate material consumption and assist in project costing.

8. Coordinate with factory production staff for manufacturing requirements.

9. Understand and prepare drawings suitable for CNC nesting, panel saw, edge banding and drilling operations.

10. Coordinate design revisions and ensure approved drawings are followed during production.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of modular kitchen, wardrobe and furniture design.

- Practical knowledge of plywood, MDF, HDHMR, laminates, edge banding and furniture hardware.

- Proficiency in SketchUp and AutoCAD.

- Good working knowledge of MS Excel.

- Knowledge of Coohom, Enscape, V-Ray or D5 Render will be an advantage.

- Ability to independently prepare cutting lists and BOQs.

- Good communication and coordination skills.

Eligibility

- Diploma / Degree in Interior Design, Furniture Design or equivalent.

- 2–4 years of relevant experience in modular furniture or interior manufacturing.

- Candidates with practical factory production knowledge will be preferred.

- Freshers with excellent practical software skills may also apply at a different salary level.
