JOB DESCRIPTION – INTERIOR DESIGNER

Position Overview

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for understanding client requirements, developing interior design concepts, preparing drawings and presentations, and coordinating with clients, architects, contractors, and vendors to ensure successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand client requirements, preferences, budget, and project scope.

• Develop creative and functional interior design concepts.

• Prepare 2D layouts, furniture plans, ceiling plans, elevations, and detailed drawings.

• Create 3D models, renders, mood boards, and design presentations.

• Select appropriate materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, colours, and accessories.

• Prepare material and furniture specifications as required.

• Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, contractors, vendors, and site teams.

• Conduct site visits and ensure designs are implemented as per approved drawings.

• Make design modifications based on client feedback.

• Assist with BOQ, material estimation, and project costing when required.

• Monitor project progress and help resolve design-related site issues.

• Ensure projects are completed according to quality standards, timelines, and client expectations.

• Maintain proper documentation of drawings, revisions, and design approvals.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of interior design principles and space planning.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.

• Knowledge of SketchUp, 3ds Max, V-Ray, Lumion, Enscape, Photoshop, or similar design software is preferred.

• Good understanding of materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and construction methods.

• Strong visualization and presentation skills.

• Good communication and client-handling skills.

• Ability to read and understand architectural and construction drawings.

• Good attention to detail and time-management skills.

Educational Qualification

• Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.

Preferred Candidate

• 1–3 years of relevant interior design experience.

• Experience in residential and/or commercial interior projects.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

• Willingness to travel to project sites in Bangalore when required.

Salary

₹25,000 – ₹40,000 per month, depending on experience, skills, and interview performance.
