About the Role
We are looking for a highly creative and technically skilled 2D & 3D Furniture Designer to join our team based in the heart of Kirti Nagar's furniture hub. In this role, you will bridge the gap between conceptual design and physical manufacturing, transforming client requirements and raw ideas into beautiful, functional, and production-ready furniture pieces.
If you have a keen eye for aesthetics, a strong background in interior or furniture design, and the technical skills to detail and model pieces in both 2D and 3D, we want to talk to you.
Key Responsibilities
Concept & Ideation: Brainstorm and conceptualize unique custom furniture designs for residential, commercial, or modular setups.
2D Technical Drafting: Create precise, detailed 2D working drawings, elevations, and joinery details (using AutoCAD) for carpenters and the production team to follow.
3D Modeling & Rendering: Develop highly realistic 3D models and renders (using SketchUp, 3ds Max, V-Ray, or similar) to help clients and stakeholders visualize the final product.
Production Coordination: Work closely with the workshop and manufacturing team to ensure prototypes and final pieces match your exact design specifications and quality standards.
Client Collaboration: Understand client briefs, provide expert guidance on space planning, and modify designs based on feedback.
Candidate Requirements
Industry Background: Proven experience working directly in the furniture design or interior design industry is highly preferred.
Software Proficiency: Hands-on expertise in 2D drafting (AutoCAD) and 3D modeling/rendering software (SketchUp, 3ds Max, SolidWorks, etc.).
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of furniture ergonomics, structural joinery, space planning, and local manufacturing processes.
Education: A Degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, Furniture/Product Design, or a related creative field.
Communication: Ability to effectively communicate design concepts to both clients and workshop craftsmen.
