Trade Finance Operations Specialist

Operations Team Member_WBG OPERATIONS (OPS)_0469_4615_1081244 We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional to join our WBG Operations team at the Customer Service Desk. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in banking operations, particularly in RTGS/NEFT transactions, fund transfers, and tax payments. This role requires strong communication skills, a customer-centric approach, and proficiency in Excel to support daily operational tasks and client servicing. Key Responsibilities Process and authorize trade finance transactions including: Letters of Credit (LCs) Bank Guarantees (BGs) Bills Collection Export & Import Documentary Credits Trade Loans and Remittances Ensure compliance with UCP 600, ISBP, URDG, FEMA, RBI guidelines, and internal policies. Review trade documents and identify discrepancies. Manage transaction processing within agreed TATs and service standards. Handle customer, branch, and stakeholder queries effectively. Monitor operational risks and implement control measures. Prepare MIS, productivity reports, audit responses, and exception tracking. Support internal and external audits and ensure closure of observations. Drive process improvement and automation initiatives. Guide and support junior team members and assist in workload management. Eligibility Criteria Graduate/Post Graduate in Commerce, Banking, Finance, or related disciplines. 4–7 years of experience in Trade Finance Operations. Good understanding of Import/Export Operations, LCs, BGs, Documentary Collections, and International Trade regulations. Knowledge of SWIFT messages and trade finance systems. Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
