Tally Operater

Core responsibilities

• Data Entry: Recording all financial transactions such as sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.

• Billing and Invoicing: Creating and issuing invoices and debit/credit notes to customers.

• Bank Reconciliation: Matching company records with bank statements and processing online banking transactions.

• Inventory Management: Tracking stock movement, managing inventory levels, and generating reports.

• Tax and Compliance: Calculating and recording taxes like GST and TDS, and generating necessary reports.

• Payroll: Managing salaries, bonuses, deductions, and related calculations like PF and ESI.

• Financial Reporting: Generating key financial statements, such as the balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and trial balance.

• Auditing: Assisting with internal and external audits and maintaining proper documentation.

• Data Security: Performing regular data backups and ensuring secure access to financial records. 

Essential skills and qualifications

• Proficiency in Tally ERP software is a must.

• Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles.

• Familiarity with tax regulations, such as GST and TDS.

• Proficiency in other software, such as MS Excel, is often required.

• Attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.

• Good communication and organizational skills.

• A background in commerce or accounting, such as a B.Com or M.Com degree, is often preferred.
