Tally Executive

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Executive to manage and oversee day-to-day accounting operations for our freight forwarding and container shipping business. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Tally ERP, GST filings, TDS, bookkeeping, and P-Handle (profit handling) accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate books of accounts including ledgers, journals, and daybooks.

• Handle daily accounting transactions related to freight forwarding and shipping activities.

• Prepare and file GST returns, manage input credits, and ensure GST compliance.

• Manage TDS calculations, deductions, payments, and return filing.

• Oversee accounts receivable/payable, bank reconciliations, and petty cash.

• Perform costing and profit analysis (P-Handle) for individual shipments.

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings and audits.

• Communicate and coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders including auditors, banks, and tax consultants.

• Generate financial reports using Tally ERP and assist in budgeting and forecasting.

• Maintain compliance with all statutory requirements related to accounting and taxation.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field.

1–2 years of accounting experience in a •freight forwarding or shipping company•• preferred.

• Proficient in Tally ERP (mandatory)

• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and general taxation laws

• Experience with P-Handle/accounting for shipment profitability

• Good understanding of MS Office (especially Excel)

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

• It is a Full Time Accountant job for candidates with 1 - 2 years of experience.
