Tally Executive

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tally (Accounts) Executive to manage day-to-day accounting operations using Tally ERP. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in accounting principles, familiarity with shipping and freight forwarding transactions, and the ability to manage financial records accurately and timely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain day-to-day accounting entries

• Handle accounts receivable and payable, including follow-ups and reconciliation

• Record freight charges, port charges, customs duties, and other operational expenses

• Manage bank reconciliations, petty cash, and payment processing

• Prepare invoices, debit/credit notes, and manage GST accounting

• Reconcile vendor and client ledgers monthly

• Assist in monthly closing of books, journal entries, and financial statements

• Support audit and compliance activities with necessary documentation

• Generate Tally reports like P&L, Balance Sheet, Trial Balance, etc.

• Coordinate with the operations team for accurate job costing and shipment records

• Maintain accurate documentation for import/export transactions and statutory compliance

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance

• Minimum 1–2 years of accounting experience, preferably in shipping/logistics/freight forwarding

• Knowledge of GST, TDS, and other tax regulations

• Familiarity with container movement documentation and freight charges

• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in logistics billing systems or freight management software

• Understanding of INCOTERMS, HSN codes, and basic customs procedures

• Knowledge of MIS reporting and cash flow management
