Designation: Senior Accountant

Location: Ambattur, Chennai (On-site)

Experience: 2 – 4 Years

Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹30,000 per month (Negotiable based on expertise)

Role Objective

We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee our daily financial operations, manage statutory compliances, and maintain impeccable books of accounts. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Tally Prime, GST filing, and TDS management within an industrial or corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Statutory Compliance & Taxation

• GST Management: Handle end-to-end GST compliance, including filing GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and performing GSTR-2B reconciliations. Manage E-way bill generation and IRN/E-invoicing.

• TDS Compliance: Accurate calculation of TDS on various payments, timely monthly deposits, and quarterly filing of TDS returns (24Q, 26Q).

• Tax Audits: Prepare documentation and schedules for internal and statutory audits. Liaise with the company’s Auditor/CA for year-end finalization.

2. Financial Accounting & Operations

• Tally Management: Maintain daily accounting entries in Tally Prime/ERP 9, including Purchase, Sales, Receipts, and Journal Vouchers.

• Finalization: Assist in the preparation of Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow statements.

• Reconciliations: Perform monthly Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS), Vendor reconciliations, and Customer ledger scrutiny.

• Payables & Receivables: Oversee Accounts Payable (vendor payments) and track Accounts Receivable to ensure healthy cash flow.

3. Reporting & MIS

• Prepare monthly MIS reports for management, highlighting expense trends and budget variances.

• Maintain accurate records of Fixed Assets and Depreciation schedules.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) or CA-Inter.

• Technical Skills: • Expertise in Tally Prime (essential).

  • Advanced MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Sum-Ifs).

  • Thorough knowledge of GST Laws and Income Tax (TDS) rules.

• Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, ability to meet strict filing deadlines, and clear communication skills in English and Tamil.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Experience working in the Ambattur Industrial Estate or manufacturing sector is a plus.

• Candidates living within a 10–12 km radius (e.g., Avadi, Mogappair, Anna Nagar, Kolathur) are preferred for ease of commute.

• Immediate joiners or those with a short notice period.

• It is a Full Time Accountant job for candidates with 3 - 4 years of experience.
