The Senior Accountant is responsible for handling all accounting and taxation functions including GST and TDS returns, bank reconciliation, journal entries, and daily accounting activities. The role ensures accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with statutory requirements, and smooth day-to-day functioning of the accounts department.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and annual returns) accurately and on time.
Handle input tax credit (ITC) reconciliation and maintain GST-related records.
Prepare and file TDS returns and ensure compliance with all TDS provisions.
Verify and record credit notes and debit notes as per GST and accounting norms.
Maintain daily accounting entries in Tally / ERP system (sales, purchase, receipts, payments, journal entries).
Perform bank reconciliation statements (BRS) and ensure all transactions are properly recorded.
Handle vendor and customer account reconciliation regularly.
Assist in the preparation of monthly and yearly financial statements.
Support the Finance Head during audits and ensure all statutory compliances are met.
Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable.
Ensure proper documentation and record keeping for all financial transactions.
Identify and suggest improvements in accounting processes for better efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education: B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / MBA (Finance).
Experience: 4–8 years of experience in accounting, taxation, and finance.
Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances.
Proficiency in Tally ERP / Busy / SAP and MS Excel.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
Good communication skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
