Job Title: Senior Ecommerce Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Ecommerce Accountant with a strong background in manufacturing or private limited (Pvt. Ltd.) company accounting. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience with ecommerce platforms and a deep understanding of ecommerce-specific accounting processes, inventory reconciliation, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.

• Handle ecommerce accounting processes such as marketplace reconciliations (Amazon, Flipkart, Shopify, etc.), payment gateway reconciliations, and order-level profitability tracking.

• Perform cost accounting for manufacturing operations, including raw material costing, BOM tracking, and finished goods valuation.

• Ensure proper classification and reconciliation of inventory between warehouses, manufacturing units, and ecommerce platforms.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards.

• Maintain GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances and file timely returns.

• Assist in audits and coordinate with external auditors.

• Develop internal controls and process improvements to streamline ecommerce and manufacturing accounting workflows.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or ERP systems).

• Collaborate with operations, procurement, and ecommerce teams to provide financial insights and reports.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce. CA Inter / CMA Inter or equivalent preferred.

• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing company or Pvt. Ltd. company.

• Strong working knowledge of ecommerce accounting, including payment gateway and marketplace reconciliation.

• Familiarity with inventory and cost accounting principles.

• Hands-on experience with accounting software and ERP tools.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with ecommerce platforms like Amazon, Flipkart, Shopify, Meesho, etc.

• Knowledge of TDS, GST, E-way bills, and other Indian tax regulations.

• Familiarity with tools such as ClearTax, Razorpay, PayU, Shiprocket, Unicommerce, etc.

• It is a Full Time Accountant job for candidates with 2 - 6 years of experience.
