Senior Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant with a strong background in the real estate industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, managing property-level accounting, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and supporting strategic financial planning for ongoing and upcoming real estate projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for multiple real estate projects and properties.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.

• Monitor cash flows, budgets, and project cost tracking.

• Handle accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.

• Manage taxation matters including TDS, GST, and income tax filings.

• Prepare reports for project profitability, cost allocations, and revenue recognition.

• Coordinate with internal departments and external auditors during audits.

• Ensure compliance with local and industry-specific financial regulations.

• Assist in financial forecasting, feasibility studies, and investment analysis.

• Maintain documentation related to real estate transactions, contracts, and lease agreements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA/CPA preferred or in progress).

• Minimum 5–7 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in the real estate sector.

• Solid understanding of real estate accounting practices, project costing, and revenue recognition.

• Proficient in accounting software.

• Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards (or applicable local standards), taxation, and compliance.

• Advanced Excel skills and ability to prepare financial models and reports.

• Attention to detail, integrity, and ability to handle confidential information.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with real estate developers or property management companies.

• Knowledge of RERA compliance and project-wise accounting is a plus.
