Senior Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant / Financial Analyst with strong expertise in Xero or QuickBooks Online (QBO) to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing accounting records, ensuring accuracy and compliance, performing financial analysis, and finalizing month-end and year-end reports.

This role requires a deep understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, financial reporting, and analytical review, along with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

· Review and verify all financial transactions recorded in Xero or QBO, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

· Perform detailed bank, credit card, loan, and intercompany account reconciliations.

· Check and correct posting errors, unmatched payments, or unallocated deposits.

· Oversee accounts payable and receivable entries for proper classification.

· Review payroll, accruals, prepayments, and adjusting journal entries for accuracy.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.

· 2–3 years of experience in accounting, reconciliation, or financial analysis roles.

· Hands-on experience with Xero and/or QuickBooks Online (QBO certification preferred).

· Strong knowledge of GAAP / IFRS principles and financial reporting standards.

· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and review skills.

· Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas) and accounting data analysis.
