The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing and overseeing daily accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting the company’s financial health. This role involves preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Manage general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial records
Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and company policies
Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation
Analyze financial data and provide insights to management
Maintain and improve accounting systems and procedures
Mentor junior accounting staff
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification preferred
4–7+ years of accounting experience (industry/public accounting)
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Excel
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks
