Senior Accountant – Key Responsibilities
Maintain and manage day-to-day accounting entries and books of accounts.
Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Prepare and verify sales and purchase invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, and journal entries.
Manage bank reconciliation statements (BRS) and regular bank transactions.
Prepare and monitor customer and vendor ledgers and ensure timely reconciliation.
Follow up for outstanding payments and receivables from customers.
Handle vendor payments, purchase accounting, and outstanding payables.
Prepare GST returns, TDS returns, and other statutory compliance requirements.
Ensure proper accounting and reconciliation of GST, TDS,3B , 2B , RETURN FILING and other statutory liabilities.
Prepare monthly MIS reports, ageing reports, cash-flow statements, and other management reports.
Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Coordinate with auditors, consultants, banks, vendors, and customers as required.
Maintain proper documentation and records for audit and statutory purposes.
Monitor debit/credit notes, expense booking, provisions, and adjustments.
Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing of accounts.
Identify accounting discrepancies and resolve ledger and reconciliation issues.
Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of all financial and accounting information.
Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and applicable laws.
Handle accounting software such as Tally ERP/Tally Prime, MS Excel, and other ERP systems.
Support management in financial analysis, budgeting, cost control, and decision-making.
Key Skills Required
Strong knowledge of Tally / ERP and MS Excel
Good understanding of GST, TDS and taxation
Excellent knowledge of ledger reconciliation
Experience in B2B accounting and payment collection
Good English communication and drafting skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to independently handle complete accounting operations.
