Senior Accountant

Financial Reporting & Analysis:

• Month-end and year-end close:

  Preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciling accounts (balance sheet, income statement, etc.), and ensuring accurate financial reporting. 

• Financial statement preparation:

  Generating income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other reports. 

• Financial analysis:

  Analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and providing insights to management. 

• Budgeting and forecasting:

  Assisting in the development and monitoring of budgets, as well as forecasting future financial performance. 

Compliance & Control:

• Ensuring compliance:

  Ensuring all financial activities adhere to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), as well as federal and state laws and regulations. 

• Internal controls:

  Developing and maintaining strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent errors or fraud. 

• Audits:

  Assisting with both internal and external audits, providing documentation and explanations as needed. 

Other Responsibilities:

• Supervision:

  May supervise other accounting staff, delegating tasks and providing guidance. 

• Communication:

  Communicating with various stakeholders, including vendors, clients, and management, regarding financial matters. 

• Process improvement:

  Identifying opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
