Job Summary
Job Title : Senior Accountant
The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting and financial operations including invoicing, quotations, GST compliance, audit support, and accounts reconciliation. The role requires strong analytical ability, attention to detail, effective communication, and multitasking skills to ensure smooth financial operations and statutory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting Operations & Financial Management
· Handle day-to-day accounting activities including invoicing, quotations, delivery challans s(DC), receipts, and payments.
· Maintain accurate books of accounts including journal entries, ledgers, and vouchers
· Prepare and maintain financial records, statements, and reports using Tally Prime.
· Ensure accuracy in data entry, documentation, and record-keeping.
2. Accounts Receivable & Payable Management
· Manage accounts receivable and payable functions effectively.
· Monitor outstanding balances and prepare periodic ageing and recovery reports.
· Follow up with customers and vendors for payments, confirmations, and clarifications.
· Coordinate with internal teams for billing, collections, and payment processing.
3. Statutory Compliance, GST & Audit Support
· Perform GST filing, TDS entries, and statutory compliance as per applicable regulations.
· Maintain GST records, returns, and reconciliation data.
· Provide audit support by preparing required documents and responding to audit queries.
· Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory accounting standards.
4. Reporting, Coordination & Documentation
· Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
· Support management in budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting requirements.
· Maintain professional correspondence with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
· Ensure timely completion of assigned accounting tasks and reports.
5. Process Improvement & Operational Support
· Identify and support improvements in accounting processes for efficiency and accuracy.
· Co-ordinate with internal departments for smooth financial documentation and compliance.
· Maintain confidentiality and integrity of financial information at all times.
Required Skills & Competencies
· Proficiency in Tally Prime and MS Office (Excel, Word).
· Strong understanding of GST, invoices, quotations, receivables, payables, and auditing.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Kannada, English, and Hindi.
· Good interpersonal skills with the ability to handle customers and vendors professionally.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple accounting tasks efficiently.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance.
· 2–4 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles.
· Mandatory working knowledge of GST filing, Tally Prime, and financial reporting.
