Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities • Maintain accurate project-wise accounting records, including revenue, purchases, expenses, receipts and payments. • Track project costs related to materials, labour, subcontractors, transportation and other project expenses. • Monitor project expenditure against approved budgets and prepare Budget vs. Actual reports. • Coordinate with the Billing/Project team for customer billing and maintain billed, unbilled and outstanding records. • Monitor customer receivables, ageing, collections and customer advances. • Maintain vendor and subcontractor accounts, including invoice verification, advances and outstanding balances. • Verify project expenses and ensure correct project/cost-head allocation. • Perform customer, vendor, subcontractor, bank and project reconciliations as applicable. • Support GST & TDS accounting, reconciliations and statutory documentation. • Prepare project-wise cost, billing, outstanding, collection and profitability MIS reports. • Support monthly closing, project financial closure and audit requirements. • Maintain complete and accurate project financial documentation. • Identify financial discrepancies and cost variances and report them to the reporting manager. Required Skills • Strong knowledge of project accounting and general accounting. • Knowledge of project costing, billing, receivables and payables. • Good understanding of GST and TDS. • Good reconciliation and analytical skills. • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP software. • Excel knowledge of SUMIF/SUMIFS, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, IF, filters and MIS preparation is preferred. • Good communication, coordination, accuracy and attention to detail. Candidate Profile • B.Com / M.Com / equivalent qualification. • 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with exposure to project accounting. • Experience in Electrical Engineering, EPC, Construction, Infrastructure, Manufacturing or other project-based organizations will be preferred. • Candidate should be comfortable coordinating with Project, Billing, Purchase and Stores teams.
