Senior Accountant

We are looking for an Senior Accountant to join our team at Ameza Jewels. The role involves managing financial transactions, preparing accurate reports, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. The position offers ₹25,000 - ₹40,000 and opportunities for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities of a Senior Accountant typically include:

• Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.

• General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Month-End and Year-End Close: Lead the closing process, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.

• Accounts Reconciliation: Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and intercompany transactions.

• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in preparing budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis.

• Tax Compliance: Support the preparation and filing of tax returns, GST/VAT, TDS, income tax, and other statutory requirements (depending on the country).

• Audit Support: Coordinate with internal and external auditors by providing required documentation and resolving audit queries.

• Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide recommendations to improve financial performance.

• Compliance and Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with accounting policies, regulatory requirements, and internal control procedures.

• Fixed Asset Management: Maintain fixed asset registers, calculate depreciation, and monitor asset additions and disposals.

• Accounts Payable and Receivable Oversight: Review AP and AR processes to ensure timely payments, collections, and accurate recording.

• Team Supervision: Mentor and guide junior accountants, review their work, and provide technical support.

• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, automate tasks, and enhance efficiency.

• ERP and Accounting Systems: Use and maintain ERP/accounting software (such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or Tally) to ensure accurate financial records.

• Management Reporting: Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management to support business decisions.

Job Requirements:

The minimum qualification for this role is Graduate and 2 - 5 years of experience. Additionally, candidates are required to have a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Additional certification (if any) is a plus. Applicants must have strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
