Lead Business Consultant - Test Management and ALM Tools Specialist

Lead Business Consultant Area(s) of responsibility Role/Responsibilities Partner with Synchrony cross organizational function teams to provide support with using the Octane tool for test planning, tracking, and execution, as well as defect tracking Support function teams by answering questions around the tool and guiding the teams on proper usage aligned with the Optis Transformation (OT) program Octane structure & framework As requested by function teams, provide support with getting the function team test cases into Octane including mapping their test cases into the proper format, and then uploading using bulk upload capability, directly entering into the tool, or getting existing Octane test cases moved over into the OT specific structure Support OT test leads in facilitating recurring “office hours” sessions with function teams to address questions with the tool as they arise Support OT program team with administration & management of the Octane tool Monitor test cases to ensure they are following the program defined structure guidelines – work with OT test leads and function teams as needed to bring resolution to any issues Monitor defects to ensure the proper data is filled out and that there is clear lineage of defects to the function teams that identified the defects as well as the L3 process or application that was being tested when the defect was identified – work with OT test leads and function teams as needed to plug gaps in the data Monitor function team progress with creating test cases and escalate to OT test leads if there are gaps in function team testing coverage based on identified testing scope Generate dashboards/reports as requested by the OT test leads from the Octane tool during the test planning and execution phases Work with Synchony Octane support teams as needed to bring resolution to any issues identified with the platform Expected Skillset Test Reporting: Using Jira to Produce Test Metrics and Status Reports Expertise on ALM Tools: Octane / Tricentis etc., Integration of Jira & ALM Tools. Resources with other similar toolset experience may be considered as well – Jira + Xray / Test Rail / Azure Devops test plans, qtest Testing experience including creating and executing test scripts and defects in Octane and/or other similar tools Experience Level Senior Level
