Junior Accountant

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate must have a solid foundation in accounting principles and hands-on experience or knowledge in Tally, GST compliance, TDS, and financial reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for a commerce graduate to build a strong career in accounting and finance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain day-to-day accounting records in Tally ERP

• Manage sales and purchase entries accurately

• Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.)

• Handle TDS calculations, deductions, and return filing

• Assist in the preparation of Profit & Loss account and Balance Sheet

• Post journal entries and ensure proper ledger maintenance

• Reconcile bank statements and vendor accounts

• Assist in monthly and annual closing procedures

• Support senior accountants and auditors as needed
  

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in Tally ERP (latest version)

• Good knowledge of GST rules, filing procedures, and input/output reconciliation

• Practical knowledge of sales and purchase invoices and related taxation

• Ability to prepare basic financial statements like P&L and Balance Sheet

• Strong grasp of journal entries, ledgers, and trial balance

• Attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work under supervision and meet deadlines
  

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) from a recognized university
  

Preferred Qualifications (not mandatory):

• Internship or 0–2 years of experience in a similar accounting role

• Basic understanding of accounting standards and statutory compliances

• It is a Full Time Accountant job for candidates with 6 months - 3 years of experience.
