Junior Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and supporting the accounting department with day-to-day tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to gain hands-on experience in accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports.

Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.

Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.

Support month-end and year-end close processes.

Assist in the preparation of tax returns and compliance documentation.

Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations.

Process invoices and follow up with vendors or clients as needed.

Maintain digital and physical financial records.

Assist with audits and implement internal controls as directed.

Provide administrative support to the accounting team.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently pursuing one).

1–2 years of accounting or finance experience preferred.

Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software i.e. Tally.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy.

Good organizational and time-management skills.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

Internship or previous work experience in accounting.

Familiarity with financial regulations and standards

Experience with ERP systems.
