Job Title: Junior Accountant

Reports To: Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to assist in managing our day-to-day accounting and finance requirements. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of accounting principles and a willingness to learn and grow within the role.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports

Maintain and update accounting records and files

Post journal entries and reconcile accounts

Process accounts payable and receivable transactions

Support month-end and year-end closing processes

Assist in bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring

Handle petty cash and prepare vouchers

Maintain proper documentation of invoices, receipts, and other financial records

Assist with audits, fact checks, and resolving discrepancies

Comply with financial policies, regulations, and company procedures

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

0–2 years of relevant accounting experience (internships count)

Basic understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles

Proficient in MS Excel; experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, SAP) is a plus

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Good organizational and time management skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Skills:

Good knowledge of Tally Prime

Familiarity with general ledger functions

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

Eagerness to learn and grow within the finance department
